My bhabhi spent a bucket load on flowers for her wedding.. nobody remembers , nobody cares. At her rukhsati, she remembered her flower arrangements, which we (the baraat) had to cart off to Mums place.
Seeing the men take off their boutonniere , and the ladies taking off their flower garlands, personally a huge waste of money, which could be spent elsewhere.

Many weddings, I see the ladies refuse the flower garlands or the flower bracelets, it also delays the baraat upon entering.

Yeah, real flowers a no go. The ones that would go with my decor are way too expensive and I don’t even remember if the flowers were real at any of the weddings I’ve gone to. And there’s wayyyyyy too many people on his side to get flowers for everyone and my parents don’t want to only give them to one or two people so they said it’s better to give them to no one. and I don’t like the haars anyways because it covers the outfits and usually just clashes with everything.

I personally think fresh flowers look nice as a bouquet etc and if its a small intimate wedding you can do table arrangements. But its so expensive

OP no one is going to bend down and pick ip the petals thrown to see if they are real or fake. No one cares so why worry

Grooms entrance just do the same have petals thrown mithai feeding and allow them to enter thats sufficient i feel. Unless the groom wants the whole dhol bajaana like my one did typical punjabis lol

haha Yeah he got a dhol player. So he’s gonna walk in with that (I totally forgot to ask and see if the venue even allows a dhol player…oops) but we wanted to welcome them with flower petals.
