Re: Floppy Disk Failure?
wow. last time i used a floppy disk in 2001. it wasnt letting my put .doc file (filled with images) on it. i stopped using it after that.
i discussed this problem with my bro and he gave me 128 MB usb key for $25.

That’s not a floppy. Floppies are the big ones, i.e. 5.5" ones. This one here is a hard drive ![]()
Now who remembers comments like those? ![]()
5.25 not 5.5 ![]()
I saved my first “word star” (predecessor to word perfect which preceded Microsoft Word as the major word processor) files on those.
Here - enjoy:
Re: Floppy Disk Failure?
I brought wordstar with me as I was comfy with it and used it on the school computer to do a paper, when i printed it it printed hearts, diamonds, spades etc, between words. This was at 11 at night and the paper was due before midnight so I said to heck with it and submitted the paper. I got a comment from the professor which said, "I know everyone loves me and all but u dont have to show your love in ur school paper". Luckily he didn't take any points off for it.
Re: Floppy Disk Failure?
Good Luck L.P :K:
I believe you could copy entire Wordstar/Word Perfect application on one floppy
now these applications require a CD/DVD! Probably that is what Tofibaba is referring to as well?
