oh the gullible Ms Femme Fatale, they (the ransome seekers) wanted the victim (Jodie Foster) portrayed as some lunatic hijacker. They wanted her to act hysterical finding her daughter on an air-borne flight. Remember when she plays around with the circuitry to activate the oxygen masks? Imagine if it was your average soccer mom who would have only cried sulking in her 26D seat.
