I know why you are obsessed with Altaf but more than him it is Jamat e Islami, Jamiat e Ulama e Islam et al. who should be shown Bharat's true colors.
It is they who supported Congress, called Quaid Kafir e Azam, and did their best to stop creation of Pakistan.

There is also some historical baggage with regards to housing, particularly in Mumbai. For example homes in some of the largest and nicest parts of Bandra West ( now a very upmarket and expensive residential area in Mumbai, home to Bollywood superstars, Expats and Richie rich businessmen) can only be sold to Christians. This is because of a little known fact, that some 400 years ago when the Portuguese first settled on the islands that now make up Mumbai. The Portuguese leased huge tracts of land to Jesuit Missionaries for 999 years to be used as residential areas for Roman Catholics only, These were then gifted to England as part of the dowry of the Portuguese Princess Catherine marrying the English King. The English continued the lease, developed Mumbai, and on Independence the Indian Govt forgot to make any changes to the lease arrangements, which still hold good, so you now have large parts of Bandra which can be owned by Roman Catholics only. No Hindus, Muslims or anyone else can purchase a home here at least for another 600 years or so, till the lease expires.

Mufaddal, didn't India reformed land acts. they abolished a lot of provisions, for instance, anyone who left for Pakistan, his/her property came under government custodianship and were auctioned for a small sum...in my village, our family had purchased quite a few properties in order to keep the family property within the family and to keep non Muslims away. our village is 100% Muslim surrounded by non Muslim villages.

same thing happened with agricultural lands...zameendaarii was abolished.

Lease arrangements were not changed. This is still state land currently on lease...so Land reforms do not apply, this is also not agricultural land or evacuee land, as the residents are Indian citizens and their decedents are living in India. Most British and Indian leases were for a maximum of 99 years, so the Indian Govt let the leases be, however the Portuguese ones were for 999 years, a fact which was then overlooked.

I see this entire thread as completely futile.
I mean what's the surprise? Jinnah predicted this several decades ago. As narrow as it sounds, Indian Muslims should be the last ones complaining about the "discrimination" they're facing. I don't think I need to elaborate.
