Im more likely to believe there is a human perpetrator behind all this. Make sure your mother has protective measures at all time.. i dont know..pepper spray/mace..emergency numbers on her cell if she doesnt already..a small pocket knife.
its a pretty serious business if its happening indoors (is it?). see if theres legal recourses you could take. if police protection is possibly provided. it would especially be useful if it could be shown that this doesnt happen when there is police presence, because generally jins arent really that afraid of jailtime.
as for paranormal stuff..i dont know..have her wear an ayat ul kursi locket? i know theres certain duas the prophet used to recite when black magic was practiced on him..if you could an imam to tell you that.

Actually, this isnt the first stalking jin i've heard of. My friend and his cousin repeatedly sighted a particular girl's face in weird places like over a tree or some river in swat after his cousin got married to someone else.
But in this particular instance, since the means of stalking is something accessible to stalkers, and some guy could be taking pictures, I'd still think its a human loser rather than a non-human loser.
so if it's unexplained the solution mut lie in Religion??
does something trigger it? or it's totally random? If you can narrow down when or what or where it happens.. maybe you can start taping her and then police or some other sleuth may have evidence to go on..
I'm sure there are many 'scientists' who are dying to get something like this to further their 'research'.
Not to sound too sanctimonious (since I'm anything but), but doesn't the answer to everything lie in religion?
I do think taping her or trying to at least document one of these flashes with something that can be better examined might help in figuring out what's behind it.

maybe she wears a lot of nylon or silk clothes and has rubber soles under her shoes with produce an electrical charge…so when the clothes move along each other they produce this ‘lightning’…just like lightning in cloud (u can simulate it as well, when ur in a darkened room and have bright silk clothes and rub it over ur arm or so)
or she might be wearing bulbs under her clothes

Hiccy strange things happen.Sometimes there is no explanation for it.I mean Im sure a lot of us have seen/experienced something that doesnt have an explanation of any sorts.I would suggest that you read Surah Yaseen, and maybe talk to a Maulanah in your local masjid.There are Ayahs that they can give you for your house.
