Flash News:-Attack in paris leaves 11 dead...

Re: Flash News:-Attack in paris leaves 11 dead...

There should be protests against these acts from Muslims, at least half the size of the protests they did when the cartoons were originally printed.

Re: Flash News:-Attack in paris leaves 11 dead...

When it comes to Technology, the worst critics of West use it.
When it comes to health care, they prefer western brand and doctors
When it comes to education, they prefer to send their kids to western countries for education
When it comes to job hunting and establishing business, they prefer to settle in western countries under non-islamic govt

they do not mind paying taxes, selling to westerners and all that...

and then they attack the same people because they think so..

yeah that is not muslim mentality that is symptoms of Jahaliya!!!

these two scumbags, did huge favor to the tabloid and have made life of their fellow muslim more difficult, congrats them on that.

How to fix this, the local muslims should by all means find and report these kind of behavior... and anyone who do not agree with west and think they are oppresses and are enemy of Allah and His Messenger (SAW) should immediately leave their country and benefits they are getting... and move back to ANY Islamic Country they want!!! aatay daal ka bhai maloom ho jaye ga

Re: Flash News:-Attack in paris leaves 11 dead...

It can't happen. I think the show of unity in Paris and throughout the Western world isn't just over 12 dead. After such terrorist acts, it rarely is. Recall the massacre of school children a few years ago. Horror, yes, but you just didn't see any catharsis among the people. It was looked upon as some psyco doing his thing...and gun control remains a hot button topic. No existential threat.

It's about ideology...free speech. The idea that someone died for holding views, that they were denied their right to free speech. It's not something the Muslim world will ever emote to anytime soon. Yeah, 12 people died...sad...but it's 12 people dead. Not so to Westerners in general, who feel it's much greater than that. It's looked upon as an assault on their way of life.

The fact is, this magazine has been pushing buttons for several years now. Muslims abroad are more opt to think that this is just a natural consequence of their outright goading. Nothing to do with free speech directly...I just don't think that concept has meaning for so many. It's a response at a more primitive, visceral level. But then, it seems odd that here you had this editorial staff and cartoonists prodding and provoking for so long...and when the anticipated response materializes...everyone is shocked.

But, Muslims in France...they should be out and visible. Not as a public penance, but to help France heal.

Re: Flash News:-Attack in paris leaves 11 dead...

These three idiots have made lives of other muslims living in non muslim countries harder. They have made them apologetic and put them in lower moral ground against the locals.

I hope they are happy now, honor of prophet restored but honor of islam tarnished.

Re: Flash News:-Attack in paris leaves 11 dead...

^ what exactly are you saying post 23

Re: Flash News:-Attack in paris leaves 11 dead…

Nice…

Re: Flash News:-Attack in paris leaves 11 dead...

The reports say of a second attack today.!!!

Re: Flash News:-Attack in paris leaves 11 dead...

While some extremists are not doing good for Muslims living in western countries but the west also needs to do some soul searching. Why are so many Muslims becoming extremists?

Re: Flash News:-Attack in paris leaves 11 dead...

Muslims who do not like west, as suggested earlier, should go to any muslim country the pref & west should seriously consider controlling radicals extremists, and their funders, Saudis. In the US there are so many radical mosques funded by Saudis where mullahs spew out anti western/US hatred every Friday that its hardly believed that they are allowed to operate. The same Saudis who will not let Christians to bring in bibles or let non muslims visit Mecca.

People know the consequences: Opposing view

By Anjem Choudary

Contrary to popular misconception, Islam does not mean peace but rather means submission to the commands of Allah alone. Therefore, Muslims do not believe in the concept of freedom of expression, as their speech and actions are determined by divine revelation and not based on people’s desires.

Although Muslims may not agree about the idea of freedom of expression, even non-Muslims who espouse it say it comes with responsibilities. In an increasingly unstable and insecure world, the potential consequences of insulting the Messenger Muhammad are known to Muslims and non-Muslims alike.

OUR VIEW: Slaughter of French satirists can’t silence free expression

Muslims consider the honor of the Prophet Muhammad to be dearer to them than that of their parents or even themselves. To defend it is considered to be an obligation upon them. The strict punishment if found guilty of this crime under sharia (Islamic law) is capital punishment implementable by an Islamic State. This is because the Messenger Muhammad said, “Whoever insults a Prophet kill him.”

However, because the honor of the Prophet is something which all Muslims want to defend, many will take the law into their own hands, as we often see.

Within liberal democracies, freedom of expression has curtailments, such as laws against incitement and hatred.

The truth is that Western governments are content to sacrifice liberties and freedoms when being complicit to torture and rendition — or when restricting the freedom of movement of Muslims, under the guise of protecting national security.

So why in this case did the French government allow the magazine Charlie Hebdo to continue to provoke Muslims, thereby placing the sanctity of its citizens at risk?

It is time that the sanctity of a Prophet revered by up to one-quarter of the world’s population was protected.

Re: Flash News:-Attack in paris leaves 11 dead...

the radical Muslims won't leave hypocrisy at best. They enjoy the benefits while they bad mouth those countries. Seriously what's going wrong that so many western Muslims are becoming fanatics?

Re: Flash News:-Attack in paris leaves 11 dead...

I think biggest problem is that muslims are unable to integrate into western cultures & root of that is religion. Most muslims at heart feels that if they accept western way of life they will lose connection to Islam, but they have hard time giving up what west has to offer...namely so many freedoms. So, there is inner conflict especially among youngs & that turns them into crazies that we see in news daily.

Re: Flash News:-Attack in paris leaves 11 dead...

Well, these things are certainly not good. The sooner they are captured the better it is.

A policewoman was shot and killed today in Montrouge and attacker(s) fled in metro. Let's hope there are not more casualties.

Re: Flash News:-Attack in paris leaves 11 dead...

A henious crime with no justification what so ever

Which God or Prophet needs such servants for assistance!!??!!

Simply horrific

Yet there are quite a few among us here on GS and in the world who kinda see this as a consequential matter and show no signs of grief

Re: Flash News:-Attack in paris leaves 11 dead...

Let me rephrase the question - why are so many of the terrorists Muslim ? Are they interpreting their religion incorrectly or is there some other reason ?

Re: Flash News:-Attack in paris leaves 11 dead...

I have no sympathy for these guys and would like to wipe all of them out, as for the reasons you need to look at what has been happening over the last 40 odd years, mainly the blind support of Israel by west. Also in recent times the invasion of Iraq by messrs Bush and Blair, when you invade a country and kill over 100K innocent people and call it collateral damage than you are sowing the seeds of extremism in some people.

Re: Flash News:-Attack in paris leaves 11 dead...

^Thank you!!

Re: Flash News:-Attack in paris leaves 11 dead...

As for extremism by muslims the victims have overwhelmingly been muslims themselves. Look at the innocents killed in Pakistan by these animals. Which Islam were they protecting or promoting while massacring 130 plus children in Peshawar. even yesterday two of the victims in Paris were muslims. The most vile picture of the policeman being killed which is all over the internet is that of a muslim policeman who was defending the magazine offices from these animals.

Re: Flash News:-Attack in paris leaves 11 dead…

Terrorism stems from fanaticism and every sane soul knows that fanaticism has no space in any society. It is this fanatic mindset that drove the terrorists to kill innocent children without remorse in Peshawar and it is with the same mindset terrorist attacked journalists in Paris.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the families and friends of the staff members of Charlie Hebrdo and two police officers senselessly killed in the coward attack yesterday. President Obama in his statement after the attack said, “The fact that this was an attack on journalists, attack on our free press, also underscores the degree to which these terrorists fear freedom – of speech and freedom of the press. But the one thing that I’m very confident about is that the value that we share with the French people, a belief – a universal belief in the freedom of expression, is something that can’t be silenced because of the senseless violence of the few.”

The few fanatic minds cannot be allowed to hold the world hostage of their ideologies. We stand united together from Peshawar to Paris against senseless violence and killings.
