Re: First time cooking
LP … you will automatically gain speed in cooking with time … the more you cook the more experience you get and hence learn to focus more or less on stuff accordingly … for example , when i was new in the kitchen , I used to keep watching the onion while frying them for fear that i will burn them or they will stick to the pan ! … but now with time , I do all the other stuff in the kitchen while the onions are being done !
Here are a few tips :
Its the preparation and the after cleaning that takes most time , rather then the cooking itself … So chop the onion and start the cooking process immediately … and try to chop the rest of the vegies or clean the meat , or do the bartan when the onion is frying… its more like multitasking …
Keep washing the bartan saat saat so they dont clog the sink …
then there are short cuts like when you chop the onions to make masala , they take longer … but if you blend them coarsely they take no more then 10-15 minutes to get done … similarly , if you add cubed tomatoes to the salan , they take longer to mix in well .. but if you blend then first and then add then in the salan … they will take five minutes to mix in with the salan …
for the tips…i do cut the other veggies and clean the dishes while doing the onions and other stuff…but i didnt know abt the last part …blending tomatoes
will surely try it
once again CB
If my cooking turns out rubbish, i can get quite frustrated but at the same time it pushes me to try again.
Similarly, if i cook well, it can also be a motivator for cooking more
abt a year bk wen i used to cook…just one thing turned out kinda not as i had expected..and tht was enuf to demotivate me
