I dunno if it really has anything to do with the contestents. The only reason this whole stupid story got any press (who the hell cares about Ms. England anyway) is because of the whole sensationalist “muslim girl defies fanatics” angle, the fanatics being a hefty chunk of Muslims in the UK.
^ Yeah never heard of any “Miss England” before, such a big deal :halo:
And she is not the first muslim girl anyway, There are Miss Lebnon, Miss Egypt, Turkey, Malaysia and many more selected every year they also take part in Miss universe
So all this hu laa Look muslim girl won Miss England !! is very childish
there is so many beautiful pakistani girls but too bad they cant participate in these events due to mullah mentality of desies. i wish all these chest beating mullahs can be boarded on planes and dropped over atlantic.
Look...the issue is why do you need to publicise the fact that you are Muslim when running for a Beauty pageant...do what you like i dont care but dont bring up the Muslim thing...
Dont know if anyone saw on Channel 4...the program about Sahara the Muslim Pornstar...if gal wants to **** mans then she can do as she pleases but why make a point of her Muslim upbringing etc...its not neccesary...If she was just Sahara the pornstar then no-one would care...Theres an Indian pornstar called Nadia Nyce who has never said she is Muslim or made a point of it so no-one has an issue with it...but people got vexed with Sahara cos she made a point of being Muslim...
Do you understand why Muslims get annoyed at things like this...
Cat is right. This is not good for Muslims.
If these people want to participate in pageants where they are required to defy Islamic laws then they should make sure that no mention of their religion is made.
beta you would know how to build a plane first… unless you just plan on learning how to fly one… which might be a little bit more difficult now.
keep your religion in your house. feel free to force it on ppl who live in your house. there is billions of muslims in the world and they all need not follow whatever it is that your brain has cooked up.
My child, you make no sense although I presume this is a failed attempt at a 9-11 joke.
Nah. How’bout you keep your lack of religion in your own house? Outside, you gotta abide…and I sure as hell am not alone. At least not in the Pakistani context…
you seriously beleive forcing religion on every single person will work out? if someone wants to follow a more relaxed dressing code but still wants to practice islam… whats the beef. how you dress is a small part of islam anyways. is it not? seriously, the sooner we get out of this mindset the better.
