It is nice to read that Muslims have had such a long and established presence in England.
… The first mosque in Britain is recorded as having been at 2 Glyn Rhondda Street, Cardiff, in 1860.

British consul enjoyed special status in Ottoman court. In fact most of the correspondence between Khalifa and Europe was translated / edited by the British. British fought wars alongside Ottomans such as in Crimea.

Ottomans however miserably failed to establish permanent ambassadorships in European capitals thanks to the Fat-fat-was of MAToos. This resulted in stagnation of Ottomans and ultimate demise of Khilafat.

No wonder Mustafa Kamal was mad as hell at Turkish MAToos.
