10 ppl killed, just saw on news 22 ppl are stuck on 9th floor, we don't know whether they are alive or dead :(

^ don't want to say it but I don't think people would have survived the gases and heat emitted by fire.

I saw the sad picture of a man (in metro London) sitting on a window ledge on the 7th floor of the building desperately waiting for help/ambulance to arrive. Moments later he jumped to his death ... bechara!!!!

Only 7 fire engines for whole Lahore really depressing and engines take take time offs for filling water again somewhere else.

helicopters couldnt help much because of the towers installed on the roof of the plaza.

Sources told Dawn that the fire burnt important data and files related to various land-grab cases involving forgery in plot transfers in some residential and commercial areas of the LDA. Officials, especially of the directorate of land record and management, and some private land mafia might be able to prove themselves innocent now, they suspected.

clean record is must to begain new era of corruption. Has $$ promised to punish the responsibles yet?

Oh yeah, totally.

I meant removing the word ‘maybe’ because this was a definite case of removing evidence of things like Ashiana Housing Scheme, Metro Bus, Raiwind Properties as well as around 20 percent of LDA records. That too on the last day before the elections. And you are right, it will happen again, not if, but when.

Maybe Shahbaz Sharrif can add this to the Guinness Book of World - wait for it - Records.

Items missing after fire: Smeda files plaint against LDA

Earlier, on Monday when a few functionaries of Smeda administration were allowed access to their office on sixth floor, a number of laptops and other costly items were found missing and a complaint was lodged with the quarters concerned.

Next fire at LDA office in johar town. Yes Khadam e aala will get the new record.
