^ Aww. You didn't have to delete it.

Re: Finally Someone Raised Voice

It's probably because of the way some of these Emirati states were promoted to the west. These places were supposed to be vacation spots and you can't tell someone to wear abayas when they're on vacation or they'd just take their bikinis and go over to the Caribbean. The Emirates wanted the wealthy Westerners to spend in their countries.

Inviting people to migrate to the West is about supplementing the work force. They don't want you to spend, they want you to work. They go through great pains to make sure they don't allow in someone whose personality is a polar opposite to their countries personality. They are in a pickle now since they didn't realize before what a menace these burqas be and now they are stuck with being politically correct.

Two different situations, one wants you to spend while the other pays you to work. The Emirates have to work on the principal, customer is always right, whereas the West believes that the Boss is always right.

Re: Finally Someone Raised Voice

A barbar in his shop busy in cutting hair of a customer saw a girl wearing jeans n t-shirt (not skimpy dress) walked next to his shop. He came out saw her for a while then whistlied n came back inside.

Maybe dress obsessed him not the girl. :D

I don’t live in Dubai :snooty:

Re: Finally Someone Raised Voice

Actually sometimes I do take a second look, but also do that when I see a pretty girl wearing a salwaar kameez.

Re: Finally Someone Raised Voice

^ HARAAM. The right way is to take one long look, without blinking.

Re: Finally Someone Raised Voice

Girl .. Sister … Lower gaze … Move on … Don’t think too much …

Man! Religion is difficult enough already …:bummer:

Re: Finally Someone Raised Voice

That's a lie. I did not defend French ban on practices of some people which they considered religious. I think the impetus for that ban was Islamophobia.

Now. Did YOU defend French ban?

Re: Finally Someone Raised Voice

If you don't allow people to be what they want to be when they visit your countries, it would only be a matter of time before they bring in rules that would infringe on your rights when they are in their countries. Is it so hard for you to understand.

Re: Finally Someone Raised Voice

I could have sworn you did considering that fact that you have a general dislike towards religious conservatism.

And Stormraiser you do realize this was started by the Europeans in 2003 and by the Emiratis in 2012 right?

Re: Finally Someone Raised Voice

I don’t like religious conservatism because I think many of the things preached are harmful for economic future of Muslim people.
But let me also say that I have even more dislike for Islamophobic racism which white Christian conservatives exhibit towards Muslims.

Here is what I said earlier on the same topic:
http://www.paklinks.com/gs/world-affairs/421822-why-is-the-burqa-being-banned-in-europe-2.html
post 12:
“They simply don’t want any Muslims in Europe. Muslims are not threatening their culture or way or life. But they just don’t want Muslims there.
It would be politically incorrect to deport all Muslim people when they are living peacefully and not causing any trouble. So Europeans are coming up with other ways, like banning burqa, to incite them, in the hope that Muslims themselves will either leave Europe or leave Islam.”

Re: Finally Someone Raised Voice

My apologies then. I made a mistake.
