As far as prospects from the under 19 players, I honestly don't think any of them will be selected on this important and tough tour and think that they would want to take more experienced players.
Also, if they really wanted to introduce players from the under 19 team then they should already have been taken to Sri Lanka and should have been part of this Pakistan A team. The two opening bowlers especially were very impressive in the under 19 team and definetely feel that they should have been part of the Pakistan A team - other then these two I can't see any other great prospects from that team.
Look at the Indians they have already given Chawala (leg spinner) debut in the senior team and is in the Indian A team, why didn't our selectors select bowlers who won them the under 19 World cup? Will they also be wasted?
I still believe we should take Hafeez to England alongwith us, and get him accustomed to the conditions by including him in the squad for the first four-day practice match. He can only improve if he is with the National Team, and his performances in the domestics lately suggests that he is working hard on his mental and physical aspect of fitness and is keen on emerging as another known face amongst the boys.
As for the U-19 players, yes, they should have been included in the squad for Sri Lanka, but once again, due to inconsistent track records of the selectors and chamcha-geeri, we managed to send the two players back without providing them a single chance in favor of that trash Arshad Khan, who should be now transfered permanently to the end of Bermuda Triangle as far as I am concerned, never to be seen or heard from again.
See, if they would have at least selected one pacer (Anwar Ali, for example) in the previous series (or in the 'A' team, as you have proposed), we would have at least established a common base to critique his credentials upon.
