Point to be noted
Australia collapsed against three teams - Sri Lanka (30/4), Pakistan (62/4) and England (8/3) - yet England was the only team that was able to sustain pressure on the Aussie batters. They bowled with discipline throughout and never got complacent in the field.
Sri Lanka let Australia off the hook thinking the game was in the bag (Australia should never have been allowed to get up to 168 from that position) and regardless of how well White and Hussey batted against us, Pakistan defending 191 ought to have shut down Australia at 62/4. That we did n't was partly down to complacency and lack of discipline. The fielders did not show the same urgency in the field as England to save the ones and twos against Australia which could have made a difference towards the end. Both teams can learn something from the disciplined English performance against Australia
But all said and done, England are well-deserved T20 Champions. The best team won it in the end
