And back in the day warriors had to get thier own kit… i bet half of todays grunts would struggle with a real belt or some knots let alone stringing a bow…

^^ very true .. and today is all about weapons .. these days the soldiers cant even gather the thought that 313 men fought against 1000 men and 313 won .. i had a debate with this gora and he was amazed .. and i told him thats why sincere muslims dont fear death in the battle field.

Yep and the 313 were poorly armed with most carrying sticks and stones... against troops who were heavily armed and had cavalry support.
Today it's like Palestinian kids throwing stones at IDF troops and sending them running back... i've seen it happen.

^^ well its the sincerity in those palestinians that they are fighting for a right cause ..and thats why the palestinians even with so many deaths / shahaadats .. they still survive.
end of the day .. if your cause for a fight is right with the right intention which dont conflict with teachings of Islam .. then you are hero even If you attain shahaadat.

Fighting in this day n age .. is just stupid .. to gain power over one n another and no real reason..and thas why those who fight this day n age .. those ppl / countries are known as 'villains' ..clear example is america / the terrorists killing innocent where Islam taught that if your on your way to a battle and there is a she-dog with her puppies resting on the way ahead .. alternate your route so you do not disturb the mother who is feeding her lil uns .. and not kill innocent ..etc etc
killing / fighting has just become a hobby for countries like a board game .. and its horrible :(

Agreed.
Back in histroy wars were left to soldiers... and in the wars before 1900 most of the casualties were 90% military 10% civilian.
Wars these days are mostly 90% civilian deaths and injuries and 10% percent military ones.
This is the worst aspect of modern warfare. :(
As for this idea of a war on terror nearly all modern nations were created by terrorism. America owes it's existence to terrorism and yet they want to supress others for it.
One mans terrorist is anothers freedom fighter.
All this fighting is between humans... humans can be good and bad.
Best thing is to talk it over but if taks fail then theres nothing left but battle.
