I had forgot to mention the arists for those to pieces. The first one was Yngwie Malmsteen's "Far beyond the Sun" (1984), and the second one was the ending of the Vinnie Vincent Invasion's "Animal" (1986). You're right, they are absolutely breathtaking, and both Vinnie Vincent and Yngwie Malmsteen are two of my favorite musicians and a big influence on me.
Here's another one I found in my archives. This is Chris Impelleteri warming up at a guitar clinic lesson in Japan, sometime in 1988. Absolutely UNBELEIVABLE. Again, sorry for the terrible sound quality.
