Fact: Personal Servants Received Some of the Luxury.

The personal servants in the Middle Ages were treated like the family dog… and that’s not a bad thing. They got to sleep in the same isolated quarters as the castle owners, which, while the rest of the castle may have been cold and dreary, was heated by a personal fireplace and definitely the warmest place in the castle. While they did sleep on the floor, they were given warm blankets. Elsewhere in the castle, residents of lower social standing slept in the towers and relied upon body heat and light bed dressings for warmth. They only wish they could be the lapdog of the nobility.

I have been to Caernarfon Castle in Wales. I really didnt notice the toilets but its indeed a very huge castle. It took me almost 3 to 4 hours there and couldnt able see the whole castle and the time was up.

The Clock-wise stairs are very VERY dangerous.. I wonder how they used to run on the stairs when needed. I could hardly take steps. Yeah a rope is tied on the wall side so you can grab it and take the steps.

We also watched the history documentary which lasted for 45 minutes in one of the rooms. They have a meuseum too and I enjoyed visiting that too..

Must be, I went on Spiritual retreat for summer camping. Religious people from Christianity go there. I was so scared to live there .Oh my days, we felt ghost’s voice , noise and saw shadows lol It was my first time to stay in a castle, had a wonderful experience there. Played football, learned archery, went cycling, prayed, did qayam-ul-lail,attended religious lectures. Imagine, if you get a dars on Alam-e-barzakh there couldn’t sleep in the night lmao
