There are high standards of evidence for a serious crime. These standards of evidence essentially mean that the crime is only really so damaging to society as to deserve punishment in this world if they (the crimes) are not hidden away in shame from society by the perpetrators.

Predominantly only desi mullahs say that, I noticed. Others say that it’s a sin only if deliberately intended as an act of disrespect. I therefore don’t care what direction I fart in, all I know is that regardless of what direction I do it in there is no intent other than relieving internal pressure. Sometimes, I fart over a wide arc, such as 120 degrees or even 180 degrees, if it is a long enough fart to permit that.
Actually, desi mullahs tend to say a lot of weird stuff, regardless of what sect they belong to. Which gives rise to what I call Stupid Mullah Theory. Essentially, Stupid Mullah Theory states that whenever a desi mullah issues a religious edict, check what non-desi mullahs generally say on the same topic.

The government of the UK and between 95-97% of the UK population merely does not follow this guide.
Inshallah one day the minds of enough people in the UK will be changed on this matter and they will elect a government that will make sufficient changes to follow the guide.
