Re: Fantasy League
*Yes he was cleared but I have now some doubts about his inclusion after reading this article in yesterday’s news from our old friend Mr. Waheed Khan *
MULTAN: The Pakistan team management could be taking a big risk by playing pacer Shabbir Ahmed in the first Test against England here in Multan, as the International Cricket Council (ICC) has expressed some reservations in its report on its modified bowling action and warned if reported again he faces a one-year suspension from international cricket.
Shabbir, who recently resumed bowling after modifying his action, was reported for the third time in his career when Pakistan played the West Indies in May.
After his action was reported by the ICC match officials, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) sent him to England and Australia to undergo biomechanical tests to spot the flaws in his action and suggest remedial measures.
The ICC allowed Shabbir to resume bowling after going through a report from biomechanic and bowling experts from the University of Western Australia in Perth where Shabbir was sent for remedial action.
But sources in the Board said on Wednesday that even Australian bowling coach Daryl Foster and the ICC in its comments on the report from Australia still expressed some reservations over his modified actoin.
“They say his action has improved and is now within the 15-degrees elbow extension limit allowed by the ICC but he is still violating that limit and could land into trouble if more work is not done on his action,” the source said.
“Basically the position is that Shabbir even now is walking a very thin rope and going by the ICC comments their match officials in the series against England would surely be keeping a close watch on his action.”
If Shabbir is reported again in the England series he faces a one-year ban from international cricket.
Shabbir has been included in Pakistan’s 16-member squad for the first Test but indications are that Pakistan might prefer to go in with a three-pronged pace attack of Shoaib Akhtar, Mohammad Sami and Rana Naved with one specialist spinner in Danish Kaneria.
“Shahid Afridi is relucant to open the innings and feels more comfortable batting down the order. Which means that Shoaib Malik and Salman Butt have to open followed by Younis Khan, Inzamam-ul-Haq, Mohammad Yousuf, Afridi, Kamran Akmal and the four bowlers,” the source said.

Re: Fantasy League
When several players are locked with the same score is their ranking based on who posted their team first, or does that rule only apply for a winning tie?
Re: Fantasy League
^ It is in alphabetic order.
Re: Fantasy League
You sure? Then why is a username beginning with Y above me and someone with C, when we all have the same points? ![]()
Re: Fantasy League
^ Interesting, I have noticed it as well. It is in alphabetic order except for Y. Maybe it thinks Y is the first letter in thh alphabet. :) Wait for decent to come online.
