Nope you can't change players half way.
If that was the case, I would have changed my team every half time of every match!

actually I am also playing fantasy match at fifa. So things are quiet different there.
There they have 7 rounds.
For first 3 rounds you are allowed only one transfer each round.
Now as the knockout stage has started (Round 4) you can transfer as many players as you want. So dropping the player of the team that hasnt progressed and picking new players from team that are playing. Letting everyone have more point according.
