Re: Famous Noha ‘Ghabraye gi Zainab’ was written by a Hindu!
I was going through (tuning pages) of a book dealing with history of Marsiya writing in sub-continent and there writer mentions that though Dilgeer was a Hindu, but in his Marsiyas he was able to portray sentiments of Muslim families in a way that it surprised many Muslims of the time, as it was believed that language and traditions of Muslim and Hindu families are different and one party didn’t known the customs of other party. This is the same sentiment which was later encashed as ‘Two-nations theory’ politically in later years.
