I think it’s more about the fact of getting positive news for Muslims in the media, rather than actually caring about Oliver Stones son converting.

It has nothing to do with being happy for him. I hardly think the reaction from some people would be the same if a famous Muslim converted to another religion.

if somebdy finds Islam and embrace it…then we all should feell happy for him as Muslims…and if somebdy from America being a famous personality embraces Islam then i think he/she should be given a credit for it as he or she will face some kinda negative critisium from the society wich is in hatred from Islam n Muslims…unfortunately we need these news to make a good image in the west…

Actually just noticed Sean Stone said he accepts Islam as a true religion, but he didn’t claim to have become a practicing Muslim … Just thought that needed clearing up.

^ that shahadah video is a small section of his full dialogue with the Shi’a Imam, in the first video to the link I posted clearly he says that he never claims to have converted to Islam, but that he has always accepted Islam and that means to accept Muhammad (SAW) is a messenger.

He is basically saying he accepts on an educational/intellectual level the synergy between the three faiths. He sort of makes it clear that he is not a practicing Muslim.
