I was watching one of their shows a few months back in which they read a letter from some lady in egypt who was “touched by the hand of god,” and wanted to convert to Christianity, in order to escape her life as a “captive” in Islam. Apparently, this woman who had never known of anyting but Islam, had a vision of Jesus Christ in her dream and was “saved” from that day on.
Then they all blesed her and grabed hands and started praying so hard it looked like they were going to pass gas ![]()
These people are a complete joke, and we should laugh at them, not get offended by them:)

Is it just a metter of credibility? what about our obligation and rights to that person (Pbuh), in this case we should all get angry and show for once how much Islam is dependent upon Muhamed(pbuh).).

Okay You read what u wanted to read in my statement and did nto ponder on the meaning. The obligation is there. Do ot, but do it right. Dont start sending threatening letters full of hot air that makes the writer look like a jackass. Make your point, make it in a logical, polite and understandable manner.
there is a difference bwteeen being angry and being upset, and whether you are angry, upset, mad whatever...The approach still needs to be one which puts forth the point in a proper manner.
This guy was on 60 Minutes acoupe of mins ago....they had a whole interview. Shoulda watched!
A related article, written following Jerry Falwell’s comments is Was Muhammad a Terrorist? by Alex Kronemer. He begins by saying:
“By today’s standards, Muhammad engaged in an appalling amount of violence–but he brought peace to the Holy Land.”

Iqbal,
An interesting article for those who don't know much about the old testament & the history of the periods & prophets of old times. I guess a good bit of history after the establishment of Church & Christianity as a state religion of the Western Civilization & the atrocities Popes committed in the name of religion aka Jesus should add on to the essence of the article.
Though the author fails to convince me that the so called "violence" of the biblical period is somewhat different from the world today. Maybe he sees as the Geneva accord or a few other laws of international war fare as an improvement in civilized world but if we look at what is happening in the wars of Africa, genocide in Eastern Europe, the war lords in Afghanistan or even the brutality of Armies of countries like Iraq, Israel etc. It's all so clear that the same amount of 'violence' is there. Heck, the US is about to go to war on a country on the basis of suspicion, not even in responce to an act of aggressiveness. The people killed in the two recent World Wars are probably more than the number of people killed in the whole biblical period.
