Mir Osman Ali Khan, the last of the ruling Nizams, was known to be frugal and stingy, quite different from those who preceded him, but from the stories I’ve been told by family elders, he was generous in his philanthropy and public welfare.

I have read lot about his kanjoosi in ‘Freedom at Midnight’.
