Re: fake eyelashes for bride?
Most girls have been wearing fake eyelashes at the recent weddings I've been to. They're not just limited to the bride anymore. I might try them soon :-)

Re: fake eyelashes for bride?
i tried putting on fake eyelashes for my wedding, but man, they were SO uncomfortable, i could barely open my eyes, so took them off and doubled up on the volumizing/lengthening mascara.

That's true. Girls wear them all the time. My friends wear fake eyelashes
on a daily basis. That's a bit too much for me because I like to keep it
minimum on regular days. But it sure makes makeup look more glamorous.
Groovy - I felt the same way about lashes until I fing my HG.
And my lashes are quiet short so mascara doesn't help :(
Re: fake eyelashes for bride?
Just out of curiousity why do brides wear colored contacts (besides those brides who wear prescription ones) on thier wedding is there a specific reason does it change the way u look or something? Almost every bride i see or attended a wedding of wears colorded contacts and was wondering why they do tht i dont think i'll be waeing them bc i have no reason to but if it changes something about the way u look maybe i'll look into wearing thme too??? doesnt it feel wierd wearing false eyelashes and contacts it sounds like a bit too much for 1st time colored contact and false eye lash user???
Re: fake eyelashes for bride?
My friend had worn coloured contacts on her wedding and Valima the MUA suggested her eyes looked big for sure and pretty too.....
I have weak eye-sight and i wear prescriptioned contacts but clear ones.
And im planning to wear clear ones on the wedding InshAllah, cz i don't want to give a different look to my eyes plus but YES i'll b wearing fake lashes InshAllah.....
Re: fake eyelashes for bride?
^ yea i dont think i would be comfortable wearing both fake eyelashes and contact lenses since ive tried on contact lenses for like 2 mins a long time ago and i felt like i was going blind bc it makes ur eye sight blurry well at least the ones i wore and ive seen so many brides whose close up shots dont look all that great bc they wear colored contacts and from the sides of the contacts u can actually see their orignal iris of the eye well thts bc the lenses they wear are not their iris size and i was just wondering wut the reason was and why brides choose to wera colored contacts and not sticking with their orignal eye color...beside those who have to wear prescription ones...imagine a bride ends up wearing glasses on her wedding day!! hahahaha...lol just pictured it in my mind!!
Re: fake eyelashes for bride?

I'm just worried abt the fake lashes, hope they'll not irritate me on my big day.....

haha yeah, his wife almost never takes her glasses off. she looks nice though being all natural instead of acting like a dolledup bimbo like other actors' wives.

Have any of you girls thought about eye lash extensions? I have heard they grow with the lashes & stay for like 2,3 months. Last I read somewhere they cost 300 bucks. Are they harmful? I am looking into doing that for my wedding days or month I should say.
Oh they look hot. Don’t have that fake look.
^ Thank you ![]()
I’ve heard both good and bad stories. I think the trick is not to have eye lash extensions done for over al ong period of time. As you are looking to do it for the wedding only, it should not be a problem.
Here is some additonal info:
Thanks for posting the link Twinklee. I'll try to find out what we have in Chicago.
Also just recently I saw this on news. Their is this medicine (not exactly I guess) But anyways. It good for eye lash extension & makes them grow thick too. Its a gel that you apply. Approved by FDA as well. Only drawback is that once you stop using it your lashes stop growing. Haha.

I've had lash extensions and they aren't harmful at all, where people have run into problems is cos they have been applied with some dodgy glue from Korea or China or somewhere that can irritate the eyes. It is expensive but looks a lot more natural than false lashes even if u decide to go for very long ones. 3 months is a bit optimistic, mine last about 8 weeks and I'm quite careful.
For anyone who wants permanently long lashes it's even possible to have eyelash transplants lol but apart from being a bit extreme it's v.vpricey and as the hairs come from the back of ur scalp u have to keep trimming them cos they just keep on growing and growing....
Lattise - the drug that makes ur lashes grow:

what does she look like?? is her name really gori khan?
btw- here’s the lashes i used on my wedding.
they’re the new featherish ones by MAC. they look totally crazy by themselves in the packaging, but really give you that “oomph” once put on! i also wear contacts and have really sensitive eyes, but alhamdulillah they worked out fine. just make sure you use DUO as the glue (its actually very safe and used in hospitals for surgery!) and you once it has dried add a layer of liquid eyeliner on top…and you’re all set!
i got sooo many compliments on my wedding day, alh and decided to use the same ones for my valima ![]()

It normally takes a couple of minutes for ur eyes to adjust if u haven't worn contacts before, things might be blurry and the eyes might water a bit but within a few minutes u shouldn't feel any discomfort at all.
People who wear glasses can get prescription coloured lenses, they're usually exactly the same price. Pointless to buy some lenses and then wear glasses as well lol.
