Not that I support Ayla Malik but if degree is not a requirement anymore so why is she not eligible for elections?

Secondly, I might have missed something here. Jamshed Dasti was not only declared ineligible for contesting polls, he was also handed down a three-year sentence for presenting a fake degree. But the sentence of election tribunal was overturned by the LHC and Mr.Dasti is now an honorable legislator in the National Assembly.

It's really baffling for me. Unless there is something fundamentally different in these two cases — besides gender of course — what could be the reasons behind two contrasting verdicts in two similar cases?
In Mr. Dasti's case, Elections Tribunal's verdict was overturned by the LHC. In Ms. Malik's case, Election Tribunal has concluded the case yet reserved its judgement. Will she also be allowed to contest by-election like Mr. Dasti?
To make things more uncertain, a few days ago, the Supreme Court had disqualified a sitting MPA, Samina Khawar Hayat of PML-Q, for having a fake degree.

because dasti's degree was not fake, he presented original degree, case was that his institute was not recognized by HEC.
