faislabad has pakistans biggest real estate project under construction, 'KOHINOOR CITY'
they are getting huge malls and towers like center point, doburj, kohinoor one, rahman tower, kohinoor heights, mediacom trade city. just to name a few.
and its also up to the rich industrialists of faislabad to invest in there own city but they choose karachi and lahore, they should be following the saigols footsteps.
Yes there are a few good areas. But overall Faisalabad is just a big village. It is not a developed city like Lahore or Islamabad but it generated much more revenue.
Regarding my claim, I qualify for all the qualities you have mentioned.
Pakistan is our country and we must live in it as a nation, the Pakistani nation. Countries are divided into regions (provinces) and further sub-divisions. These divisions can be altered whenever Government finds it hard to manage things. Unless highly desirable, this division must not be altered.
Politicians often demand further division to get extra benefits (ministries…) when they are elected. For an average man nothing will change even if every village will be made a province.
So as citizens we must try to concentrate on our responsibilities instead of making demands that are not necessary and will not benefit this country as a whole.
Faisalabad is a division and thats what a big city deserve to be.
otherwise i will ask my native family village to be a provice or a separate country, having enough land in that village , i could become king or president of this village. and can also claim my royality of River chenab from Pakistan cause it passes through it. :) or make a dam on it and sell the energy to Pakistan :)
thats the thought behind creating separate province or divisions so that local people get more money to play with for own interest.
why faisalabad failed to get funds? or development ??? cause instead of developing own city or pressurising government, people who own factories and industry, prefer to live in Lahore or Karachi and have factories there still. so basically faisalabadis are to blame to suck its own blood.
the MNA looters come and go and eat funds and prefer to have another industrial unit in faisalabad instead of spending it on Faisalabad.
otherwise its own industry group can have shared fund to develop itself without help from government - and charity donnations are expemted from TAxes, so they dont have to pay taxes to govt and have direct investment on city projects if they dont trust govt.
anyway the requirement of new province should be moved to jokes and i am very serious.
Well i am from Faisalabad and i agree with umar that Faisalabad has been neglected despite the fact that it’s third biggest city in Pak and 2nd biggest in terms of revenue after Karachi BUT you wanna make it a seperate province:bukbuk:
