Re: Fairy Meadows
im from Lahore ......i think NA is far from karachi if compared frm lahore na ......do u go alone or with some group of friends??
Re: Fairy Meadows
Yup NA are far from Karachi but distances don't matter when you have passion for traveling. My most tours start from Lahore though because I have all my relatives in Lahore, have spent a lot of time there, especially all the summer vacations throughout my childhood. So whenever I'm going on a tour, I'd go to Lahore first, spend a week or so there and then move to upper areas.
I have never gone alone on a trip so far. A couple of friends / cousins have accompanied me during the trips but I've no problems going alone. If any year my friends or cousins are not willing to go, I'd go alone.

ya but the problem with me is that i cant go alone at this age at least.........i really wanted to do some more treks like the Deosai Plains one n want to visit some valleys near gilgit n chilas ......they r very beautiful
Re: Fairy Meadows
Yeah u r right.. there are so many beautiful places in Pakistan and great trekking opportunities. I have heard that the trek from Mahandri - Munawar Bela - Biyari - Aansu Lake (alternate way to reach aansu lake) is very breathtaking. Its a 40 km route but its very difficult & dangerous. I wanna try that when I get a chance.

hmm havent heard of this one ...one trek to ansu lake is from lake saif ul malook too which due to heavy glaciers v could not go ..........there r two lakes near babusar pass too ..they r very beautiful too ....i would love to go there....
Re: Fairy Meadows
Yup these two lakes are Lulupatsar Lake and Dudipatsar Lake. I have been to Lulupatsar Lake. It is easy to reach Lulupatsar Lake from Naran - Jalkhad - Basel - Lulupatsar. Paved road till Jalkhad, from there you have to take a 4x4 jeep. Dudipatsar Lake is beautiful lake. I haven't been there yet. Its some 12 km hike from Basel. You can not go there by Jeep. Only by foot or on donkeys. Only very adventurous people visit it but it is very beautiful, just see its pictures on google. I'll definitely visit this lake InshaALLAH sometime. Well, when we talk, there are so many beautiful places and its hard to choose which one to visit this time :D

oh ya now i remember the names .........actually in 2008 v decided to go to these two lakes but unfortunately could not go ......i have seen the pics its very beautiful MASHALLAH.........well IMO if u wanna go go the fairy meadows.......n if possible from there also go the base camp of nanga parbat ........i missed that part......
Re: Fairy Meadows
Yup, thats in priority. A rough sketch of my this time tour would be to visit Fairy Meadows, NP base camp and then back to transit place of FM, catch a bus to Juglot, go to Skardu.. Deosai plains, sheosar, rama lake etc.. and then back.. but its very very rough and depends on many factors like budget, no. of people going, time etc.

thats a good sketch but i suggest u to go to FM n Bc of nanga parbat .....but dont go deosai plains now ..coz meadows n base camp is tough trek n deosai plains is very tough ......
but if u can manage thats good......n ya budget is the main problem too
n prices have increased too now days of everything
