this thread is about india. such incidents do indeed call into question the country's secular and democratic credentials. you are trying to draw parallels with a neighbor that is neither secular nor democratic and where minorities are constitutionally inferior. that is a wildly inappropriate benchmark for india to measure itself against.
Yes. Drawing parallel with neighbor of India is uncalled for.
Despite Muslims being over 90%, not claiming to be secular country,... Hindu minority houses are not burned in decades in Pakistan and police has not acted partially.
Moreover, no acts like Samjhota train blast have occurred in Pakistan and Indian singers have been treated with respect in Pakistan, Hindus can buy houses anywhere in Pakistan,...etc.
The president of Pakistan was elected democratically in case you need education.
Now please condemn the act of terror against Muslims in India. Will ya?

The problem was two fold in your post;
Anyone showing glee on anyone being killed, regardless those belong to minorities or majorities is wrong.
What enthusiasm? I merely pointed out the obvious.
Pakistan or any Muslim Majority area is not the topic of this thread. Please feel free to point out your concern in the thread where it would be appropriate.
Feel free to search those threads.
Until then I would like to see you showing 'your enthusiasm' against these hate crimes in India. :)

I know the topic is about the way muslims are treated in India, but what pains me that most of the posters who jump to shed crocodile tears whenever any small incident happens in India do not bother when there are worse incidents in their home countries. They mask themselves in rhetoric. They forget about how the blasphemy laws are subverted to kill minorities.
For your kind information, Idiots are everywhere. The good fact is that the government has taken cognizance of the facts are acting on it.

Blasphemy law is a reality. It covers all people of Pakistan. The so called Hafiz dude was caught and punished misusing the law.
Regarding idiots everywhere. True. But how the Govt. helping when there is a demand to even file a FIR?
And then pro Hindu site blog calls names to innocent dead bystander Muslims (Jihadi cockroaches) and says the lesson is not to serve Muslims in restaurants.

I would be first person to condemn such incidents. I myself am a Catholic who resides in India. I can understand, how it feels to be victimized. That said, I do not want you to quote one site which has these statement. There would be hundreds of sites which spew venom out. As I have said before "Idiots are everywhere, but more in some parts of the world"...
The government setting up a commission and the commission doing what is right shows that the government is doing what it takes. I do not have the facts if the FIR was filed or not, but the fact is that the government setup the commission and acted on it shows that the steps are being taken to right the wrongs that has been done.

The commissions are made to delay the justice or create confusions. Let's see what comes out of it though.
Why not just ban these terrorist organizations one for all? That is if the administration is serious about it.
The problem is deep rooted and time and time again we see the symptoms of this problem of hate mongers being supported by a whole lot of people in India.

6 policemen have been arrested and further proceedings are on the way. Setting up of the committee was not a sham and government is acting on the recommendations.
