Mac strobe did nothing for me so im returning it soon..Bought a set of trial sized products from Clinique at Sephora. Nice deal, i've used clinique before and never had a problem with it, but yesterday I washed my face with philosphy's face was, and since then my face and neck has been dry, red, stinging, and now it itches (not to mention looks hideous). laying off the products for now, except forvaseline.. i feel so... :(
sara ... i wud recommend mary kay's oil free gel ....i love it so much. my skins never felt better in years. my skin really started breaking out december 2007...was so horrible...started getting better after i got married..and now i finally feel like i am somewhat getting my 18 year old skin!
strobe cream is not a moisturizer...more of a luminizer. u're supposed to use it over your moisturizer esp if u have dry skin otherwise your skin just drinks it up.
sara maybe u used a new product thats not agreeing with your skin? the philosophy?
As old school as it may sound, I just use follow the same simple routine my mom used to follow. A simple moisturizer, and gentle face wash morning and night. Keeps my skin healthy and blemish-free. Everything else is just marketing.
i use Patricia Wexler M.D. MMPi 20 skin regenerating serum i had really fakey skin in the winter, and it's the only thing that fixed it plus it gives u a hint of pink glow. oh by the way you can get it from Bath and Body Works.
Lubriderm or Cetaphil (the cream in the jar not lotion) does wonders for me, are well under $25 and are gentle on skin. Both are available at drugstores.

Seriously-- the best thing I've ver used is Pond's skin cream (the blue cover not the green or pink one). it cleared up my skin allergy so fast.

oo i just got that for my mom. i use shiseido's white lucent and philosophy's hope in a jar. both are amazing. i used to use the body shop's vitamin e cream but after trying these two i will never go back to that cuz now that vitamin e cream feels very gooey and vaseline like. ive also heard vitamin e doesnt get absorbed by the skin easily so ud get almost no benefits of vitamin e unless u take pills thru the mouth hence no point in even trying to go for a moisturizer based solely on that sell point.
u guys should try philoshopy's hope in a jar. it's amazing!
I have normal skin during summers and dry to very dry skin in winters....
Clinique's moisturizing lotion works for me all the way...I got the three step system but I am not too keen on the toner....I just wash my face with the facewash (mild one) and the moisturiser and I am good to go all year round!
It absorbs in the skin and still gives me that soft feeling...
I love body shop's coco butter...it's so silky on the skin...
I've been on Tazorac and Accutance for about 13 days now and the use of both has made my skin VERY DRY, super-sensitive, and it's peeling around the nose and lips...I used TBS Vitamin E cream the first two days but my face would turn beetrood red as soon as I introduced the cream to the face and, therefore, I went on a hunt for a cream that doesn't irritate skin and moisturizes well at the same time. After doing a bitof research, I decided to try Roc Calmance Soothing Intolerance Repairing Cream and I am very glad that I did. It did everything it claims it does and does it so well. At night, I add a couple of drops of Jojoba oil to it and wake up with moist and supple skin ALLAHAMDULILLAH.
Wishkamar, i read part of ur post and was going to recommend Johnson's baby oil GEL wiht aloe vera and vitamin E. my skin was like HURTING..literally. but this made it all better..really!
