Eyeshadow pallette

Re: Eyeshadow pallette

I think stoppit is right, buy the empty pallette from MAC and build up over time, it may be expensive but at least is quality eyeshadow and you know exactly what your putting on your eyes. I've heard some really bad reviews about coastal scents, so i wouldn't recommend buying them at all..Make up from EBAY is baaad idea! You don't know what's legit or not.

Get the MAC pallette, and experiment by going into like a departmental store, try out colours that suit your skintone, what you think you will wear, get a mixture of them. In the long run i would definately go with MAC.

If not, you can always get little mini palletts from stores which have a few colours, like Urban decay, collection 2000 etc.

(Thanks for the pallette idea from MAC stoppit! :D)

Re: Eyeshadow pallette

Oh ok i didn't know you could do that with Mac!!

I don't mind spending X amount, but i'm not very good with eye make up yet and think its a little waste spending £9 a pot ... when i could practice with a cheaper pallete and when i'm okayish to build up my collection!!

Re: Eyeshadow pallette

Hey SoniaA, I get where you're coming from but with a little bit of practice (and some youtube videos) you will be fine. In fact, it's better to start with good eyeshadows because you will get better results and won't be left wondering why your eyemakeup isn't coming out as good as it could be.

I think you should just start off with 3 colours that you can't go wrong with and practice with them... a lid colour, a darker crease colour and a highlighter. I don't think they will go to waste because on the days where you just want a simple look, you can use just the neutral lid shade and the highlighter, perhaps with some eyeliner.

Compliment this with a cheaper palette of colours to start off with.
