Re: Eye Makeup!
the thing is that i am not really good at eye makeup and it makes me feel bad if i spend $13 on an eye shadow and waste it later by not applying it correctly because not metter how good is ur product if u don't know how to apply is correctly it will look horrible.
that's why i didn't want to spend money at MACs. few days ago i went to shop for eyeshadow and found bare minerals' stuff which is just beautiful but since i have never appled loose shadow on my eyes i was nervous to give it a try beside with $14 eye shadow i had to buy a brush to so i can apply it right. but i don't mind buying a brush because i can reuse it and it will not be a waste of money.
btw i want to buy some MAC's eyeshadow bursh but there are just soooooooo many. if anyone of u have used it please tell me about it with brush number.
thanks a whole bunch:D
Re: Eye Makeup!
No i like it, it’s really nice but i just wudn’t call it simple, coz of the thick eyeliner and eyeshadow and esp tikka
but it is nice.

Re: Eye Makeup!
thanks a whole bunch:D
First of all well just a thought that if you dont put that much makeup and as you said you dont know how to then there is no point in buying expensive brushes -
well even if you want to buy brushes then i have some great tip for you, for the time being until you become confident and practise putting makeup correctly - buy art/paint brushes (with soft bristles) and use them the cost so much lesser then any brand brushes. (i did the same)
and then when i got the hang of it i first bought eye shade smudging brush (the one which has rubbery tip) because with that you can put anything like eye shade, eye liner and then blend them as well.
then buy a blush brush.
for foundation its best to apply it with your fingers because the heat created with your hand gives you a good facial massage as well as blend the foundation well on your face. but if you dont like this way then buy sponges.
three well you can buy lipstick applying brushes one for the out line and one for filling it all up.
And then if you have money left then buy which ever brush you want to.
hope this helps.
Re: Eye Makeup!
Hey thanks, that’s help full, u are right i don’t do a lot of make up but i always wanted to learn to do nice make up specially eye makeup.
i use foundation when ever i am going somewhere like a party or a meeting, i use few drops of critique’s DDML and mix it with my MAC Studio fix foundation which create and very nice base. For eye shadow i just use a matching color and kind of cover my lid with that color that’s it:bummer: i wanted to buy the brushes because i just loved those lose eye shadow at the bare minerals. And also, I wanted to learn how to apply makeup with right tools. i tried that look (pics above) but when i tried to put eye shadow in crease either the spongy applicator was too big or there was too much shadow that beside going to my crease the shadow somehow end up on my whole lid:(and when i tried to put the darker color on the edge of my eye it covered half of my eye like ugh horrible exp…!!![]()

I know all the girls want to learn to do good makeup – I was at your position once, but I saw a friend of mine who was so good at it hence I started experimenting as well. Its just a matter of time and I am sure you will learn as well – makeup is not that hard to put either.
For starter why don’t you just put matching colors and then use a black shade a the tip – I know when we put the makeup on the tips of the eyes it looks as if we haven’t put anything and hence we end up covering half of the lid but its okay you know what you can just wipe a bit of it and then put the first shade again. By the way put foundation (mixed with DDML) on the eye lids as well since it gives you an even tone and you will see your eye color better. Don’t try the dramatic look so early. First try to blend the two shades i.e. the matching color shade and the black one or some other color that to matches your colors and try to blend such that you don’t know how one color changes to another you can use your finger. You can also try to practice blending on a piece of paper so that you understand how to blend two colors properly (use pencil colors not your eyeshade :P). buy a brush set which you get in those glasses and are cheaper if you don’t want the art brushes.
