lol theorist this isn't one of those religious threads that you have to doubt everything :D. Give the girl some credit she obviously has some skills. :)
Marwah did mention she gets a friend to photoshop the skin so it doesn't distract from the makeup. And Marwah, which brown and black eyeliners do you use for everyday?
Since you want neutral eyeshadows for smokey eyes, natural pinkish colors, and you don’t want to get Urban Decay’s Naked palette, then i’d suggest you try Sigma’s new eyeshadow palettes.
They have 3 palette’s, I say go for Dare or Bare since one has more neutral colors, one has pinker colors. The palette’s are $35 which isn’t cheap, but I believe is less than the Naked palette. I’ve seen a few tutorials with these palette’s and I hear the quality is pretty good. If you don’t want to spend this much on eyeshadows, then I suggest you try out some drug store brands, sometimes you can find pretty nice things there for a good price. I can’t tell you which brand exactly because I personally don’t shop from there. All of my makeup is either high end (only because those you can buy from counters in which you can actually TRY it on before you purchase it) or then $1 makeup haha. If i’m going to buy something without testing it first, it has to be cheap. Another option, now that I mentioned $1 cosmetics is that you buy a bunch of cheaper eyeshadows (NYX is a good brand), that way you can get the specific colors that you want and you don’t need to splurge.
I’m attaching a pic of a look I did with cheap eyeshadows, I used 2 colors that were $1 each (even the eyeshadow brush I used was $1!) Just wanted to demonstrate, it’s not always what you put on, but HOW you put it on.
Those are pretty much the steps! the one’s i’ve mentioned already. I’m not exactly using a concealer, I use MAC’s full coverage foundation under my eyes, it acts as a concealer.
Sure why not! contact me if you’re interested in a trial As for MUA’s in NY, honestly I don’t know any I personally like. Raheela seems to be better, but I feel like she can only make light skinned girls look pretty. If you’re slightly on the tanned side, she’ll screw up your foundation (just my opinion)
Foundation: MAC’s liquid one
Concealer: MAC full coverage foundation
Thanks a lot!
Seriously? that’d be awesome!
Now.. to the all the rest wondering about my skin, concealer, and whether or not I edit my pictures. I appreciate the comments and compliments on my skin. Truth is, I do have problematic skin areas, mainly the lower half of my face. The top half is in decent condition but each time I try an eye makeup look, I am wearing foundation. Secondly, I’ve changed my camera since the past few months, this new camera has good clarity and captures each and every detail of your face which may not be that visible in person, but it is in the picture…especially if it’s a closeup. So what I do is, I put on my foundation, do the eye makeup, take the picture, then I edit “certain” areas of my skin so each hair follicle doesn’t show because I do believe it distracts from the point of the picture which is- the makeup. I never alter the makeup itself, but since I got the new camera, i’ve felt the need to edit the skin a bit (that too sometimes, sometimes I get away with no editing). If you’re still curious, I use Krylon’s TV paint stick or MAC’s full coverage foundation as a concealer under my eyes, then dust powder on top.
This is a sample eye makeup picture that i’ve taken from my OLD camera, which is not edited because I don’t think it needed any editing, but the pictures I take now do.
million thanks to you marwah i exactly wanted this look.. NYX is available in dubai will go and try out some.. but plz can u tell which shade i should buy to get this look?
Lancome has this new mascara out, its supposed to give you those doll-lashes… I tried it on at Sephora…my eyes did not look creepy doll-ish. Maybe blue contacts and pink eyeshadow next time?
Did a quick thing at sephora (yes i practically live there)…used the eyeshadow pencil in grey/silver, black glitter on the outside, and black eyeliner…Dior mascara
awesome! i hope you don't live a million miles away lol

You are right about that...the high end cameras capture ALOT of detail would show every little pore/hair follicle which can't be seen in person...I've seen you picture and MashAllah you have really good skin....anyways your makeup is one of the best in this thread and we all really appreciate you posting it for us to learn from.
Love your lashes, Theorists. And you did a fantastic job on the eye makeup too! What purple and brown did you use? And Marwah, you should def. have your own Youtube channel!
