Re: Eye Makeup!

Thanks a lot girls :)

pakieyez, everyone has their own style of makeup, I don't think i'm better than anyone else, you just need practice perfecting your style. I loved the colors that you used, and you have very nice eyelashes! wish mine were like that.

oOalyshaOo16, that's a really pretty look! I have trouble doing lighter simpler looks, but that came out very nicely. I'm wearing grey expressions by coopervision. These are prescripted, i'm not sure if this brand sells fashion contacts.

somegroovychick, thanks so much! that's very flattering, i'll definitely let you know when i'm in town ;-)

Re: Eye Makeup!

nice makeup..i like this eyebrow shape for my brows but mine are not this bareek.

Re: Eye Makeup!

You’re awesome at blending!

Re: Eye Makeup!

Thanks so much hun, but my skin is far from perfect! I got a new HD camera which shows every single pore and hair follicle so I have a friend edit my pics before I post them. The editing helps the skin appear smoother so it doesn't take away from the focus which is the makeup.

Re: Eye Makeup!

I love these ones that i’ve seen done by a british make up artist:

Re: Eye Makeup!

Marwah please come to my place and do my wedding makeup :frowning:

Re: Eye Makeup!

OMG Marwah! You need to post some tips about blending! You are excellent at it and I cant always get blending right, urgh! I have MAC brushes (which I know dont necessarily guarantee excellent blending) but I thought they'd help. I also cant seem to figure out the shape of the shadow for my eye. I have the MAC 239, 217, 224, 219 and the 266. What am I doing wrong? Any youtube videos you can link that have good pointers or a good technique to follow in order to get good eye makeup/smokey eye every time? TIA!

Re: Eye Makeup!

^ I have the same issue! sigh

Re: Eye Makeup!

If you lived in NY, I promise I would have!

Re: Eye Makeup!

M, thanks so much that's very flattering. The MAC 217, 224, and 219 seem like great crease/blending brushes, i've been wanting to get them for a while. I use a stiff dome brush from Clinique for blending on my crease but the MAC one's im sure would make the job easier. I can't seem to think of a helpful YouTube video off the top of my head (will let you know if I come across one). I can say though, that I learned from lots of practice. When you have a little free time sit down with a few colors, your crease brushes and try tracing the contour right above the socket. You can even try it with a blendable eye pencil first then add eyeshadow on top of that, and then use a crease brush and blend with windshield wiper motions. Apply more pressure where you want to blend more, and as you go higher on the crease apply less pressure to get the perfect gradient effect. After you've mastered the crease blending, you can take a small brush and use the crease eyeshadow, create a V and connect it with your eyeliner. Hope that helps :)
