Eye Makeup!

Re: Eye Makeup!

syraa :k: youre simply awesome at this mA!

Gosh I've been away from this thread for so long...

Mrs. Shah: Thank you :)

Cool Girl: I already gave a step by step description of the turquoise look on the previous page.

Misschievious: I'll try n post pictures of each step the next time...

Syraa: Thats fabulous!!!

Sonia: Your eye shape sounds similar to mine i.e. small eyelids and a large gap between the eyelids and eyebrows.... Your question is confusing which is probably why no one has replied yet... Where u apply ur eyeshadow depends on what look u want to achieve.... But in general, I apply my crease colour a little bit higher than I would apply it on my sister who has a very small gap between the eyelids and eyebrows.... So apply the crease colour a bit higher than the crease and blend it well ...

Question 2: Look on the previous page where I described the turquoise look, I also explained the lower lash line eyeliner bit... Noor has also described how she does the lower lash line eyeliner in one of her previous posts...

To apply two colours on the lower lash line this is what u do.... Use a pencil brush to apply the first eyeshadow colour below the lashes... a pencil brush gives a thicker line ... and then on top of that, apply a kajal pencil quite thinly in-between the lashes and smudge it... hope that helps...

Gorgeous syraa!

Re: Eye Makeup!

I wonder how these eyes will look like in real life.

well its an art that a boy doing it

i mean at first when i saw the title pic i thauht its a girl, but after that video i would say hats of to that boy,

khusra hi sahi but its an art that boys would do make like this on their iwn face…

just take the idea and be happy lolz

it looks like ihv seen that anywhere on youtube … anways nice try

^ Youtube is where we (most girls here) have tried to learn makeup from… if it wasn’t for youtube, I wouldn’t have a clue about it.

Speaking of youtube, here’s another look I tried doing:

Here’s how mine turned out:

hmm dunno… not too excited about it… It looked great in the video but I think these dramatic arabic looks only look good with professional photography (and photoshopping perhaps) .. they’re not too flattering in real life… may be its just me…

Anyway, someone requested we should post step-by-step pictures of the looks we do… And even though there was a youtube tutorial available for this look, I tried doing my own step-by-step picture tutorial, just for practise so u guys can let me know if the following is understandable, so I’ll stick to this format in the future…

Re: Eye Makeup!

^Nice! i actually like yours more than the youtube one cuz its more subtle and soft

Re: Eye Makeup!

^ definitely nicer that the video!

OMG…your tutorial is super helpful! thanks!

aww HNK and nabz, thank you

Escapist, I’ll try and make it better next time, this one was just a practise one… Video tutorials are the best and the most helpful, but I’ll stick with picture tutorials for now : ) Glad to know u found it helpful

Re: Eye Makeup!

Love the pic tutorial!!

Re: Eye Makeup!

Wow…you’re so good at this!
Every time i try and apply eyeliner on the inner corner of my eye (so it extends out slightly), it ends up looking wrong or it becomes blobby (no better word! lol).
Any tips??

Re: Eye Makeup!

Nida: practice, practice, practice!

Ashii: Use a gel eyeliner (I use mac’s blacktrack) with a very very thin brush (no need to spend 20 euros on a mac eyeliner brush, I use a cheap artist brush that I can even cut and shape if I want to)

You may use brush type 1 or 2… I use brush 1

The second tip is to use a minimal amount of the eyeliner for making that sharp point on the inner corner of the eye… If u use too much product, the eyeliner will not be as thin and precise.

If u don’t have a gel eyeliner, you can use a pencil or a liquid eyeliner but not directly… i.e. rub the eyeliner brush over the kajal pencil (or the liquid eyeliner applicator) and then apply it from the brush… always use a fine brush for such detailed work… using a pencil/liquid eyeliner applicator just doesn’t work for me…

And lastly, look straight ahead when applying eyeliner on the inner corner of the eye… this way, its much easier to determine the angle in which to apply the eyeliner (just extend it from the tear duct)… looking down into the mirror will just confuse you. Hope this helps
