This would have looked way better if I had worn the lenses but as I said before, they have expired. ![]()

i bought about 6 colours…and they are nice and glittery but looking at u lot, the eyeshadows u r using are great…

Re: Eye Makeup!
Wow Huma...loved it. I wanna try that too.
^ aww thanks Hareem, CE, and YF : )
TabuB: I think its a pain to work with loose powder eyeshadows. I used mineral eyeshadows for the green/yellow snake-inspired look and it was realy hard for me to make everything as neat as I could.
I work with Mac eyeshadows mostly. Mac has both matte and shimmery eyeshadows. I don't know what you mean by "glittery". Do you actually want them to be glittery or did you mean shimmery?
A budget-friendly option for shimmery eyeshadows would be Coastal Scents shimmey pallete.
I'm not that experienced so the rest of the ladies will hopefully be able to give you better and more precise answers.
very creative! i likeee
i second the coastal scents shimmer palette. i have it and i LOOOVE it!!
I never used to be much of a “Barry M” fan until recently I’m loving their colours at the moment there bright and colourful and I’m sure they brought out more colours in recent months? I’m in lov with there black shadow which has gold glitter in it. Only downfall is the fall out, best thing to do with loose shadow is do ur eye makeup first then do the rest of ur face. also I like to use macs Fix+ which turns the loose powder into a cream shadow then go over it with the loose shadow.
Re: Eye Makeup!
my attempts on my coz girlies…let me know wot u think..
1st attempted a white smokey eye which now looks silver..then i did white and blue bt then my camera had a mind of its own n started playin up on me lolz xxx
Re: Eye Makeup!
^good blending I did something very similar to this yesterday
Re: Eye Makeup!
i'm hopeless at doing eyes u guys r so good..plz give me some tips. no matter how hard i try i can never get the eye makeup right!
^You need to have the right "tools". Its amazing what different types of brushes can do.
Secondly, you need to study your eye shape very very well. The way we apply makeup to our eyelids is different from everyone else.
One of the mistakes I was making in the beginning was that I was only looking at how far the "makeup guru" has placed the eyeshadow on her eye... and I would do the same, without thinking my eye shape is a lot different than hers so where I place my shadow would also be different.
Have the right/good quality eyeshadows.
Watch videos on youtube. Even enroll in a short course if you want to. I attended a 2-day long makeup course and it didn't make me an expert makeup artist or anything but it did provide me with alot of useful tips and I got to practice my makeup skills under the supervision of professionals.
And finally, practice practice practice...
I’m not happy with the way the camera picked up these colours. Even my hijab looks more of a blue/purple than the beautiful purple that it is in reality. I dunno why there is a blue tint to everything in the pictures, the camera just messed up the look … it looked much better otherwise.
Half of my eyelid was actually blackish (I used Mac’s beauty marked eyeshadow on half the lid) but it can’t be seen in the pictures ![]()
Note: The eye colour is again digitally enhanced in two of the pics.
Re: Eye Makeup!
Humaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!! i LOVE it so pretty MASHALLAH. and i also love your hijab :D
if you don't think the eyeshadow looks half as good in the pictures as it did in real life. then i wonder how beautiful it must be in real.
Re: Eye Makeup!
^^ That's very pretty Huma!! I bet you're a gorgeous girl :)!!!
