Re: Explosions in London
What a horrific day it has been. Aldgate, gosh, so close to where we used to live. Heavily populated with Muslims, and all those innocent people caught in the middle of this brutal and ugly war.
I still haven't heard from most of the family who are in East London. I'm sure they are fine but stuck in traffic ... but still ... the whole day has been very surreal, like 9/11 all over again.
England, particularly London is my home as much as Toronto. Doesn't matter that we live here now, London, particularly East London holds a very special place in my family's hearts. I am so disgusted with whoever did this.
Re: Explosions in London
I got home Ok. Took twice as long but got a lift from a collegue. The roads weren’t as bad and had an eerie quietness to them, apart from a few road rage incidents. Heck, I thought we’re supposed to be united at times like these ![]()
Many people walking home or trying to hitch hike.
My cousin took 3hrs to get home. Another family member even longer, but home safe now.
The transport network is still shut apart from buses outside Zone 1.
Word is the blast at Woburn place may have been a suicide bomber. At least thats what the rumours are. Can’t even begin to imagine what the loved ones of the victims are going through right now. Many are probably not identified yet and family members are probably still trying to get through to their cellphones ![]()
Been a crazy day. Worst past was between 10-12noon when the phone networks crashed and couldn’t contact anyone. I knew my mom would be going crazy. I got a rush of txt messages from my sis and friends as far as Portsmouth and Leeds asking if i was ok.
And on top of that I’ve got a headache ![]()
Re: Explosions in London
The london tubes r often full of little kids going out on class trips, my son was on one such kid last month. It makes no difference what faith the victims are, they r all our husbands, wives, children, family and freinds.
Who ever did this r utter bstrds, there is no justification for such attacks, there is no God who will condone it, they WILL rot in hell. I hope the individuals are found and when convicted hung.
Whatever those bstrds were trying to do we will work even harder to create better community relations, ameen.
Re: Explosions in London
these terrorist are bunch of retards and ****heads!
as if things were not difficult enough for muslims abroad, now it gets worse.
i hope the london guppies are okay.
Re: Explosions in London
What's even worse is those fkers who think these ppl deserved to die, to be in pain and fear because of Britain siding with the US :(. I think what Mama said was right.... they may have not experienced any love in their lives and that's why they are so intent on breaking it up. Ultimately, it doesn't matter, Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Hindu etc: those who died, they were our friends, mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters. God help us all
Re: Explosions in London
a very sad incident. I hope these fkers are caught and killed in a such a brutal way that it serves as a lesson

Re: Explosions in London
England Cricket Board didn’t agree to play a Test match in Karachi due to security concern; Pakistan Cricket board (PCB) also accepted it very easily.
Now Pakistan team has to tour England next summer (2006) for Test and ODI series, now PCB must also take notice of security of London city where Lords and The Oval are the main centre of England Cricket.
Re: Explosions in London
come on man a sad incident has happened and all u can think of is that PCB shud not agree for Pakistan to play in London…this can be discussed in Khl 1 section
