US war crimes is a known fact now. same goes for Saudi Arabia and Israel. there is a reason why everyone is denouncing their tactics ( ok wait, not everyone there are still many fellows out there who continue to fall for their trap and believe everything which comes out of Washington)
Having said, one cannot deny the involvement of some of our Muslim leaders who continue to do exactly what US tells them, so basically there are no angels around. what amazes is that after 100,000 deaths in Syria. finally US is saying enough is enough and we will go and fight the Syrian government? I mean seriously? were they all asleep before? and speaking of their double standards and selective condemnation why is that US never accused Israel or Iraq of using CW? didn't Isreal used phosphorous in Gaza in 2008? and Saddam in 80's who was US ally then gassed Iranians? or very recently US itself used depleted uranium in Fallujah(Iraq)? what about all those? this selective condemnation irks me the most. Bottom line, when US or their allies commit crimes against humanity its all good and its only for restoring democracy how they always claim. but of course, if same is done by US non allies or Isreal enemies, they will prepare for war against those states! US claims to speak of times of peace, when at the same time they prepare for war. Blatant lies and hypocrisy is what they are best at. We will be fooling ourselves if we think US genuinely wants peace in Syria. and in the rest of the region. if that was the case they wouldn't be supporting Saudi extremism in Muslim countries and would wish to see regime change in Qatar/Saudi Arabia/Bahrain as well. why confine it to just Syria?

no they weren't asleep....it's just that people like yourself who are ignorant of Assad's crimes have been stopping others from helping Syria. Even now it's not confirmed if US will attack or not.
The quote that is mentioned in your post from the previous poster mentioned a country bombing, invading and occupying a muslim country. Therefore Pakistan does not fit into this bill as it has not bombed, invaded or occupied another country. So you were wrong to bring Pakistan into this discussion. We don't always bring the US into it when a muslim country attacks another muslim country i.e in the case of some African countries but in the middle east the US always seems to be involved somewhere along the lines which is proven by facts and history. I am not saying the muslim leaders are faultless, they are to blame but so is the US for its part. There is no difference between how people are killed however the US has killed, had a hand in, or as a result of its actions more civilians have been killed than by all the muslim countries put together. Whatever you may say the US cannot be absolved. Now it has entered a new danger phase where it sees it right to launch pre-emptive wars and to change regimes in the middle east.
pakistani army has been helping US with carrying out drone attacks in Wazirastan.

you ignored my entire post and this is all what you got from there? where did I say I condone what Assad regime is doing? and how people like me are stopping others from helping Syria? if you think, intervening/invading a foreign state will help bring back peace in Syria then perhaps you should be looking at what happened to Iraq/Afghanistan post invasion. is there any stability and peace there?
US needs to stop acting like world police and stop intervening in other countries. They always leave a mess behind not just in the country they invade but the entire region is engulfed in chaos.

US backing off is not the solution either....Iran and Russia shoud stop supporting Assad. If Israel is threatened then US will do what it can to protect Israel from Russia and Iran.
West Pakistan killed East Pakistani Muslims like crazy in 70's.
Iran and Iraq, both are Muslim countries and went to war against each other in 80's
Iraq and Kuwait repeated that in 90's.
*Afghanistan's Talibans called a jihad on Pakistani govt and innocent people in 2000. *
We all can have different perspectives brother Bao. Unfortunately, our perspectives dont change the facts. But I respect your opinion, cause I respect you a lot.
Same here brother :)
Back to the topic, yes in my opinion Afghan taliban never waged war in pakistan, in pakistan we have called for trouble by starting the operation in tribal areas. First attack on pak forces if i remember correctly was by chechans in kohat jerma bridge. TTP came to prominance only after Lal masjid incident when some agency backed groups were broken(Ilyas kashmiri from harkatul jihad 313, ismat ullah and abdul jabbar from jaish and so many others) and they formed independent groups in tribal belt against the operation by musharif government.
I don't think US is evil any more than many Muslims themselves. It is just that it follows the interests of Zionists more than anyone else. And mostly those policies go against Muslims. Muslims have committed more horrific crimes on each other than any Israeli or American Zionist would commit. There are more historic sites demolished by Saudis than Israelis.
Yeah the Taliban and tribals fighting in Pakistan are not the same Talibans from Afghanistan. It's a known fact. Nonetheless, both are equally crazy.
Taliban might want Pakistanis to believe that since afghan Taliban would lose much more in Pakistani rest areas if they embrace TTP but I don't think anymore that they are actually different. What local commanders might do is another issue but groups share the same ideology and I think that it is time to wash off our hands withis mess once and for all. I can bet that it would never happen since army and stooges like fazl and Imran khan sing the song of the religious nut job establishment.

I wouldn't disagree with you in fact I will put 3/4 of the blame of Muslim miseries on our own doings and wrongdoings. Yes our inenptness goes back a long way, much further than the exietence of Washington, London, or Tel Aviv but to me that is not what I understood to be the point of discussion here. Our own shortcomings and problems are 1400 year old but the enemy of today is less than 150 year old and not hidden from anybody from Latin America to the small pacific Island of Fiji.
Choosing Assad over Obama is very simple and logical.
If Israel is against Syria then Syria must be better. It's that simple.
This whole thing is a plot for greater israel but muslims are sleeping with their eyes and ears closed and don't want to wake up.
The ones that are awake, I fear, want others to solve their problems for them. No rage over Muslims leaders not acting, rather rage over the fact that U.S. hasn't shot a few already. Very ironic!
After seeing what Alqaida did to pakistan and seeing what they are doing in Syria now, eating hearts of fellow muslims or bombing shrines of Prophet pbuh family and companions plus destroying mosques it does not require rocket science to decide who to side.

It has been interesting to see the alignment of people on GS regarding the Syrian issue. It seems that sectarianism is the most important factor. People are willing to support widespread killing on the one hand and foreign occupation on the other just to further their sectarian agendas.

I guess foreign occupation is not causing any violence. Cutting open chest and eating heart is not violence. It is amusing to see how some people are so blinded by the hatred towards fellow muslims. It should not be shia vs. sunni rather it should be muslims vs. israelis.
as both the America and Saudi Arabia are allegely supporting syrian rebels, why some people choose to pariase and gaurd America over Saudia arabia?
this is again sectarianism.

You are talking about salafis who are outsiders just like Hizbullah inside Syria. I'm talking for the best interest of Syrian people right now.
