RASOOL came with the Book, i.e. It wa revealed to him through wahee....
BABI followed the Book of the previous RASOOL, and in many cases NABI preached without any book....
e.g. David was a RASOOL, ZUBOOR was revealted to him....
Solomon, his son, was a NABI, NOT a RASOOL, he had no book and followed the ZUBOOR....
Quran 4:163
*Lo! We inspire thee as We inspired Noah and the prophets after him, as We inspired Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the tribes, and Jesus and Job and Jonah and Aaron and Solomon, and as we imparted unto David the Psalms (i.e. Zuboor) *
shows some difference between Solomon and David yeah????
a similar case with Moses and Aaron....
Moses was a RASOOL, Aaraon a NABI who followed what was revealed to Moses, the RASOOL (i.e. Torah)....
Quran 19:53
And out of Our Mercy We gave him his brother Aaron a prophet.
Quran 25:35
e verily gave Moses the Scripture and placed with him his brother Aaron as henchman
now get this straight....
NABI is the class which includes all of the 'chosen people sent by Allah'....
RASOOL a sub-class among the NABIs who r distinguished by being given a Book....
so every RASOOL is a NABI too....
(just like every camry is a toyota)
but not every NABI is a RASOOL....

Do you think Allah wouldn’t phrase it otherwise if He intended to mean something else?? Do we shape our interpretations of verses around the verses or around our preconceived notions?

What do you consider Hazrat Ismael (as)? Rasool or Nabi? If Rasool, do you know which book he brought down?

How do you explain the following verses then??

anf u'd be better off reading verses of Quran together rather than selecting one from the north and one from the south....

now i dont know which book was sent to him, as i dont know which book was sent to noah (as) or even ibrahim (as) for that matter....
but Quran says he was a messenger so thats good enuff for me to believe....
i heard one scholar (NOT a local mulla) say that ismail (as) followed ibrahim (as) scripture, but since he was in a separate place, far away from ibrahim (as), he had some scripture revealed to him separately too....
and that i think qualifies him as a rasool....

So basically you don’t know if he brought down a book or not but you just think he was a “Rasool” because of your pre-conceived notion of what a rasool is.
Hazrat Abrahim’s scripture is mentioned in Quran (87:19/20) but never have I even heard of a scripture of Ishmael :as:

Quran says he isa RASOOL, so he must have had a BOOK revealed to him…
Quran doesnt mention Ismail(as) had eyes, nor does it say he had legs or arms, shall we think otherwise???
just wondering why amughal is squarely avoiding to reply me?
i have clearly showed him from "QURAN" that NABI and RASOOL are two ranks of the same personality, and he has no justification to negate that.
