See? you missed the entire point. There shouldnt be an incentive to post, or a reason to flood - not good for post quality (doesnt apply to all of course, but quite a few) :-/

Incentive to post is the quality time you spend on the forums, enjoy posting and enjoy other posts. Or maybe its just me!

thts just one reason ..
there are several other reasons.. like
there are 5-6 member who register on this site each day … but neva post …
there is no point allowing them to upload their avatar n consume the disk space (gs is so far not earning tht much to support such lavishness :p)
n the rule doesnt mean tht u cant get an avatar b4 1000 post …

if u r regular poster .. u can request for avatar … i m sure the admin will listen to ur request :)**
