I did want to talk about something though. Im not trying to offend anyone here, just discussing this to see what people think about it.
Most families would be opposed to serving alcohol at a Muslim function wouldnt they? Mine would. Im not trying to preach here but just wondering if its bad to serve it at a wedding? One perspective is that religiously speaking, its bad even if you're not drinking...you're providing the alcohol to someone else and in some ways thats worse.
On the other hand, we live in the west where mixed gatherings of different nationalities are common and you want to honor and respect your guests. Make sure they have a pleasant experience and a great time. I understand both but just wondering if anyone wants to share thoughts on this?
Im getting married and Ive got a ton of non-Muslim friends from college and work who will be invited...one reason why I asked. I know I wont have a bar there but what do you all think of this???
