I think more or less there is nationalism everywhere in muslim ummah today, whether its indians or pakistanis or saudis.

I dont understand why we had to bring India into the topic. The topic is about Pakistanis not getting integrated into the mainstream European community. For your kind information India is in Asia and not in Europe.

I feel that the main problem faced by the second generation immigrants is that the parents keep referring to the land of the pure and this creates a false nostalgia among these people.
At times going back would not be an option because they would have been accustomed to the good life. They would not want to give that up to go back to the land of the pure. Hence they try to replicate the best of what is present in the land of the pure in their adopted country and fail miserably...

The thing is that indian muslims find excuses or rationalize what happens to them in India. I had indian muslims rationalizing the babri masjid attack that it was not a big deal, there may have been a hindu temple etc. If this is not indian nationalism at its best, then I don't know what is?

You know I don't care now what indian muslims want to do. I think I have passed on that stage of life where i really believe in this non-existant "ummah". I would never have brought it up if some other posters hadn't brought it up. If being indian nationalists makes indian muslims happy and/or safe, then you are more than happy to follow it. One indian guy told my brother's friend [they were both being trained in Georgia as part of the military exchange program] that you [pakistanis] fight and leave but it is us [indian muslims] that get the brunt of hate as hindus attack us and call us paki agents.

It is sad though when indian muslims decide to parrot indian propaganda when they meet pakistanis even when not in India!

Technicaly speaking, Pakistan was created by Indian Muslims, which is what you are... Just because we have been seperated by time and geography, doesnt mean we are two seperate people...
So while an American or Spanish Muslim would be worlds apart from Pakistanis, the same can hardly be said for Muslims of the subcontinent.

Good for you. The sooner Muslims overall realize there is no such thing as "ummah" and never was a thing as an "ummah", they will finally wake up and figure out what needs to be done.

Pakistani ghetto kids in Europe? Maybe a new generation of Pakistani rappers can be brought up from that. It'll be like 1992 all over again, except with Pakistanis in Europe.
