except for Emirates/Dubai Airport I will never book a connection or stopover in the middle east
the emirates flight from london was full of british people and dubai airport is a showpiece so i doubt this nonsense happens there with the europeans.. they wont stand for that.. whereas the desis using abu dhabi just put up with it

You must b kidding dubai airport is the most idiotic airport ever . yes its has nice shops n looks like a european airport. bt service n staff r nothing but plain dumb
in october we took a flight from london to dubai , we were gnna stay there for 2 days . my mom who was in pakistan also took a flight from pk to dubai to meet us.
we landed at 7 and she was also supposed to land at 7:30 .
so we waited n waited n waited FOR 5 HOURS ! bt her flight did not land.
another problem ws dt we cud nt gt in contact wid her bcoz u hve to gt dis dumb etisalat card to call from ur mobile n her number ws nt working.
ok so we go up to every desk possible asking them abt this flight from pakistan n they tell us yeh it will land dont worry no info at all.
we ask them a million times is this the only terminal or is there another one and they say no this is the only one.
we waited for 5 hours until we eventually gt in touch wid my mum to realise dt she ws on the other terminal. yes another terminal exist . bt no it has no connecting route . it takes a good 20 mins to drive from terminal to terminal 2.
n d hotels n d taxis r a whole other story.. yes it has some nice sighseeing spots n its pretty nice bt some areas r just plain bad.

dubai is much better run than abu dhabi
agreed line up for taxis is really bad and overwhelming heat in the lower
level due to all the taxis idling in the desert heat
also bus stop is not clearly marked if u want to take local transit
left luggage is also in the arrivals level by the taxis so if you are leaving on a flight your cab/bus will take u to departures so u have to figure out how to get back to arrivals transit level...
otherwise i have no complaints about dubai and would still highly recommend it over Abu Dhabi..
Has anyone traveled with them? How would you rate them compared to PIA, BA etc?
