English County Championship

Azhar doing well for himself.

**Mahmood cuts through Kent **

County Championship D1, The Oval, day two (stumps): Surrey 479 v Kent 181-5

Surrey’s Azhar Mahmood claimed four wickets to leave Championship leaders Kent off the pace at The Oval.

Rob Key continued his fine recent form with an unbeaten 78 but found little support as Kent crashed to 181-5.

Wicket-keeper Jon Batty collected the first five catches of the innings, after completing an innings of 129.

Neither he nor Mark Ramprakash (157) could build heavily on their centuries from day one ut Ali Brown’s 79 helped the home side post 479.

same here, :jhanda:

well done azhar:k:

Zaheer Khan has joined Surrey for free in order to regain his fitness and form. In the match against Kent his bowling figures were 0/53 off 11 overs in the first innings and 1/48 off 15 overs in the second innings. Looks like he has not regained his form yet.

shoaib takes durham to victory....

shoaib akhter should continue this form :k:

In the ongoing county matches:

Danish Kaneria got 6/121 off 33.5 overs against Yorkshire

Shabbir Ahmed took 2/91 againstr Surrey while his team mate Shoaib Malik got 0/34 in the same match.

Kaneria is playing very well and a stint in the county championship is doing him no harm. :k:

to reiterate on brother ehsan’s post re danish kaneria, he is currently playing for essex against yorkshire in a frizzell county championship Division Two match and check out his bowling figures:

** Yorkshire 1st innings **

Danny : 33.5 overs 5 maidens 6/121

** Yorkshire 2nd innings ** even better >

Danny : 23.1 overs 5 maidens 7/65

giving him overall match figures of: 13/186

gr8 leg spin bowling ka mozahira, shabash kidda :dhimpak: ]

whoaa good job Danny.. keep it up:k:

Shoaib Malik scored 52 runs off 56 balls :jhanda: and in the same match shabbir ahmed scored 42 runs  but gloucestershire lost the match :frowning:

^ In the same match Malik took 2/35 and Shabbir 0/50.

Danish took 1/36 against Northampton.

Shoaib took 2/32 against Scotland and scored 15 runs.

shabir got those 42 runs from 20 balls with four SIXES…
and now thats worth an

:jhanda:

yes, i had forgotten it :smack2:

shabbir:eek:

whoaa!

wat is happening with shoabi??? pakistan confirmed he was injured and out of the asia cup to be played in july 04’, so he would be rested, then the medical team @ durham ccc confirmed he would be rested due to his rib injury and then they said he would play solely as a batsmen then again  ] on cricinfo i read he had worsened his rib injury so he was out for a while just yesterday i noticed shaoib sahab ji turned out for the local derby against yorkshire, {4 day match} he bowled and took wickets???

kya magara hai!!!

That is Shoaib for you. If he behaved like normal human beings he wouldn’t be Shoaib. Personally I think his rib injury is the biggest drama yet by this clown.

Shoaib took 4/64 and 1/46 in the match against Yorkshire.

Danish took 4/108 and 3/36 against Hampshire.

In the match against Middlesex Shabbir took 4/96 and Malik 1/49.

Mushtaq took 2/64 and 2/40 in the match against Lancashire.

Well played Lads. :k:

^
heard azhar mahmood also took a wicket giving 60 something runs....

In a match against Lancashire, Mushtaq took 2/64 in the first innings and 5/105 in the second innings.
