The usual Hoggard's reaction before the first ball after lunch, and the way he ran from the pitch to halfway his bowling mark, reminded me of Razzaq when he hit McGrath for five consecutive fours in one over, and ran like heaven and completely out oif the picture after the last ball while playing it back to the bowler.

My thought regarding the matter is the following :
On any given day, the best 11 players in the country should be selected to represent the national team regardless of age, regional affiliations,politics etc.
I am not a fan of planning a team or selecting youngsters for the future. If you always plan for the future , you will never win in the present. Every match is important. Today was yesterday's future.
Ok...to simplify it...what I am trying to say is that if Ganguly lays claim to the national side on the basis of performance, then his claims should not be ignored because Mr Kiran More is planning a team for the future. Never say never again to a player.
I think I am not making sense...may be time to hit the bed.
