Re: England vs India - Ist Test Match
Thank God it was an Indian umpire who made such an appaling decision, imagine if Aleem Dar had made that decision, Chappel would have issued two statements, Bedi and Gavaskar would have written ten columns by now and BCCI would have yet again threatened to leave ICC.
Having said all that I think this umpire such be retired and never let near a cricket match again.
pieterson taking full advantage of that decision and is now nearing his century. He was 36 at the time.
England 219/2.
A second string English team has performed with great honour. :k:
Re: England vs India - Ist Test Match
Pieterson gone.
221/3
Lead 291

Ehsan bhai, Aleem Dar has already done enough during this match… ![]()
More of his largees and India will sure lose this match… ![]()
Re: England vs India - Ist Test Match
Ok, Unless India again bats badly in second innings, this match is draw. Since English bowlers will have to take 10 wickets in a day.
Re: England vs India - Ist Test Match
England are very slow, they haven't pressed on with the advantage they have
Re: England vs India - Ist Test Match
Yep, if they wanted to win, they should have declared with lead around 300, and giving India atleast 10 overs to bat today.
Now even if they declare India may not bat, as well, they will wait for Cook to score his century. India should ensure that Cook doesn't complete Century today.............. :-)
Re: England vs India - Ist Test Match
Dekha, you have already started. ![]()
Re: England vs India - Ist Test Match
Ehsan bhai, look at the Rahul Dravid’s decision and SreeSanth’s decision today morning… You will know… ![]()
Infact, I do like him overall, though in this match he has been below par…
He is surely better than Bucknor against India… ![]()
Re: England vs India - Ist Test Match
100 for Cook. Congrats. Well played. :k:
Re: England vs India - Ist Test Match
Dravid was out. ![]()
Re: England vs India - Ist Test Match
Yes, he was out because Mr. Aleem Dar raised his finger.... that's fact of book .... :D
Re: England vs India - Ist Test Match
isnt this cook's debut?
Re: England vs India - Ist Test Match
England will declare at their overnight score and the first session will be important tomorrow. If England brekas through and takes 2 or 3 wickets than they will be in with a chance, otherwise a draw.
End of day 4, England 297/3
Re: England vs India - Ist Test Match
Yes and he roasted a few bowlers. ![]()
Re: England vs India - Ist Test Match
^^wow! 50 in 1st inngs 100 in 2nd
dream debut for any player :k:
Re: England vs India - Ist Test Match
England most probably would declare overnight...
Than commentrators will come and say, session before lunch is important,
at lunch - middle session of the day is always most important - India needs to preserve wickets
at tea (If it reaches there)- India has final overs to play for, this is most important where match will get decided..........
:-)
Re: England vs India - Ist Test Match
What an unforgettable debut by Cook. Hundred against India in india complimented by fifty. That speaks of something. Hats off. What a performance. Indians have dugm themselves a hole now by dropping easy catches.
