Sri Lanka lost the test series 1-0 but their batsmen apart from the 2nd innings of the 1st test and the 1st innings of the third test did an ok job

They could not force a result in their favour mainly because they do not have a good seam attack at the moment. Pakistan dominated England in England (won three straight series in 1987, 1992 and 1996) when they had a good pace attack. Our batting apart from the likes of Miandad, Salim Malik, Inzi and Yousuf was still iffy back then. Imran (1987), and the two W's (1992 and 1996) won us those series
