Pietersen dropped...difficult catch though.
Symonds to Pietersen, 1 run, **dropped!* Pietersen has been dropped, by Ponting at mid-on - but it was a terrific effort. A blinding attempt, diving to his right but he just couldn't hold on. It was a slower ball which came out as a full toss, Pietersen tried to whip it over midwicket but got a slight leading edge to Ponting at mid-on. What an effort.*
