Re: England tour one of the toughest of my career: Afridi
Wasnt he the one who walked out of tour on first signs that it was going to be a tough tour? Later on he claimed that he knew about fixing issues in the team too before he walked out. What kind of idiot is he? I can not wait for Pak cricket to be free of afridi ( among others)
^ he claimed he knew about the fixing? link?
Nikema, I don't think that was true. I remember that story on ARY right after NOTW broke the news. I think ARY came up with it after taking Afridi's comment out of context. Otherwise it was a clear violation of ICC code of conduct not to inform ICC or ASCU about such wrongdoings by fellow team mmebers. Can you imagine the English gutter press staying quiet and doing nothing if he actually did say that?
He did mention that he told management to keep boys away from Mazhar Majeed, not an explicit statement of saying 'I knew about fixing' but indirectly saying 'I knew something was happening'.
Re: England tour one of the toughest of my career: Afridi
U Guys r all blind haters of Afridi
lol. yeah that must be it.
Afridi is a first class moron and as time goes on, it will become apparent to everyone. as someone said on another forum, the only benefit of having Afridi as captain is that it prevents him from spending his energies trying to sabotage anyone else who would be captain if he wasn't.
Re: England tour one of the toughest of my career: Afridi
^I agree with the dude.
Re: England tour one of the toughest of my career: Afridi
If Salman is proven guilty, then obviously he will be banned and we all know Younis Khan's problem with PCB. Plus younis has also rejected captaincy many times.
I seriously don't see any other option. The last thing i want to see is Yousuf leading Pakistan again or someone as retarded as Kamran Akmal made captain when he doesn't even deserve to be playing test matches.
Even with all his flip-flops and what not, at least when he is leading Pakistan, we all can be certain that he is trying his level best and isn't involved in match/spot fixing. He is the only player in the squad right now who is 100% clean when it comes to spot or match fixing.
