Re: Eng vs SA Third Test
Tense last moments in the match. England had nothing in their tank left, bowlers looked tired. Pieterson was brought in when there were 10 or so left to win. Smith's innings was fabulous under pressure.
So Smith plays a match winning inngs. Lara played many. Waugh too. So did Inzi.
When the fk would Sachin play one? Apparently the greatest batsman of the last 50 years???
Re: Eng vs SA Third Test
^ In all honesty.....I have to agree with Fungus here.
I wish Tendu could play a Smith like innings (in a kind of situation that SA were in). That is a blot that would remain in Tendu's career.
Tendu has been a fair-weather batsman for the most part....if India is already comfortably placed , you can trust him to score a century...however if India's score is 30/3.....he will come in and make it 40/4. Of course, there have been a few exceptions to this....but the above is generally true.
Re: Eng vs SA Third Test
Ironically, on BBC web site right below the heading Smith hands Egland a series defeat was the news on Tendulkar starring in some film.
And before some of you mention his ODI stints in Gwalior to Gwahatti, I am more keen in test cricket
Re: Eng vs SA Third Test
Look at Pietersen also....the guy performs no matter the situation...and has a batting average comparable to Tendu's......but of course gets much less public adulation and media hype....since he does not play for a country with a billion Cricket fans.....the same goes for Sangakarra.
If you can play some kind of sport, and you don't have to be good at it, no worries, Bollywood is waiting for you.
So my prediction of 3-0 is still on...
