Major crash, it is not fun. There was quite a discussion on it a while back too. When you are in the middle of having crash, you feel cut-off from the world and you get tired but not to the point of sleeping. It (sugar) keeps you up rather forcefully for hours until you can no longer physically move. It is good for all-nighters (in a good way, like studying).
On the same but a rather different note, diet sodas/pops contain fat ingredients (suclarose/aspartame). Best is to keep away from diet even though the label gets enticing, seeing no calories in the nutrition label is not a good measure to stack up on the diets.
